Patek Philippe Nautilus
Patek Philippe Nautilus in brief
The Nautilus was introduced in 1976 in a design by Gérald Genta. Its case inspired by a ship's porthole, with "ears" on either side, and its bracelet integrated with the case showed that steel could be luxurious alongside precious metals.
The horizontally embossed dial, the rounded octagonal bezel and the fine transition between satin and polished surfaces are the model's signature. It has grown into a broad family, from plain time-only models to chronograph, annual calendar and travel time versions.
