Automatic movement
Self-winding
A mechanical movement that winds itself through the natural motion of your wrist. As you move your arm, a weight inside (the rotor) spins and winds the mainspring. If you wear the watch every day, you usually won't need to wind it by hand; if you take it off for a long time, it may stop.
