Jacob & Co. Astronomia

Jacob & Co. Astronomia in brief

The Astronomia was introduced in 2014 and brought the movement out from beneath the dial and set it on display like a stage. The four-arm structure makes one revolution around the dial in about ten minutes; one arm carries a tourbillon, one an Earth globe, one the Moon, and one the time display.

The domed sapphire crystal and, on most models, sapphire side windows let this motion be watched from every angle. With zodiac-marked, enamel or gem-set dials, the family interprets the sky theme in different ways.

Common references and sizes

Astronomia models are mostly seen with 44, 47 and 50 mm cases; alongside rose or white gold cases, there are also versions with a one-piece sapphire case band, and titanium ones.
