Rolex Sky-Dweller

Rolex Sky-Dweller in brief

The Sky-Dweller was introduced in 2012 as a model designed for frequent travelers. The rotating disc in the center of the dial shows a second time zone in a 24-hour format, while the main hour hand shows the time where you are.

The model carries an annual calendar that knows the ends of the months by itself: the date needs correcting only once a year, at the end of February. To show the month, one of the twelve small windows around the dial is colored. All these settings are made with the rotating Ring Command bezel and the crown.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Sky-Dweller hard to use?

No. You just turn the bezel to the setting you want and use the crown; once you are used to it, the adjustments take a few seconds.

How does it differ from the GMT-Master II?

Both show a second time zone. The GMT-Master II is a sporty pilot's watch with a rotating 24-hour bezel; the Sky-Dweller is a more formal travel watch that also carries an annual calendar.

Does 42 mm look large?

The case is wide but has a flat profile; it sits in balance on medium and wide wrists. It is also chosen by those with slimmer wrists who want a noticeable watch.
